ABSTRACT

Environmental imbalance and global warming is the greatest threat to planet earth, even more daunting than the destruction caused by World War Second. It is not a problem of an individual or a nation but a problem of entire human race, which requires joint action. In this paper, an attempt has been made to analyze the impact of Global Warming in general and in Indian context along with its concept and causes. The disastrous effects of global warming have also been mentioned. This paper also attempts to provide suggestions at first, second and individual level to mitigate the effects of global warming and repair the damaged earth. There should be a healthy balance between environment and development.
