ELECTRO-OXIDATION OF MESALAZINE DRUG IN THE PRESENCE OF BARBITURIC ACID DERIVATIVES IN IONIC LIQUID [C4mim][BF4] AS A GREEN AND ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY METHOD

ABSTRACT

 

Among the green chemistry methods electrochemical investigation and synthesis have significant importance especially in ionic liquids. In this work, electro-oxidation of mesalazine drug in the presence of barbituric acid derivatives in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([C4mim][BF4]) ionic liquid as a green solvent is investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential coulometry methods.
