CLIMATE INDEX CHANGES IN FUTURE BY USING SDSM IN KERMANSHAH, IRAN

ABSTRACT

 

The present study investigates the effects of climate change in future time periods in Kermanshah station in West of Iran. Using SDSM downscaling model, the daily precipitation and maximum and minimum temperature data were downscaled. The weather data were estimated according to HadCM3 global circulation model and by A2 and B2 scenarios in three time periods i.e. 2011-2039, 2040-2069, and 2070-2099. The climate indexes used are Johansson Continentality Index, Kerner Oceanity Index, De Martonne Aridity Index and Pinna Combinative Index. The results indicate that the climate of the area will be more arid especially in 2070-2099 time period. The areas getting more arid in A2 than B2 scenario.
