REMOTE SENSING TECHNIQUES FOR LAND USE CLASSIFICATION IN HUAY SAI ROYAL DEVELOPMENT STUDY CENTER, THAILAND

ABSTRACT

 

A study of land use change in Huay Sai royal development study center is one of the necessary processes for the land use management in the center. A remote sensing is one of the tools which are used for studying both existing data and changing of land use. In the remote sensing, there are many techniques used for interpretation and analyzing. Therefore, the main objective of the study is to assess the optimum technique for land use classification. The assessment compares the techniques between the supervised classification technique and the unsupervised classification technique. The result shows that the supervised classification technique more obviously classify than the unsupervised classification technique because the classes of building and shadow are combined in the class of water in technique of the unsupervised classification. Therefore, the supervised classification technique is the optimum classification technique for studying land use in the center.
