ABSTRACT

An evaluation of fourteen physicochemical parameters like Atmospheric and water temperatures, pH, alkalinity, salinity, calcium, silicate, phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and chlorophyll and number of Diatoms was carried out fortnightly for two years (January 2003 to December 2004) from Chinchani and Bordi coast of Maharashtra. The results were statistically analyzed to determine correlation and coefficient of correlation between them and conclusion was drawn .Scatter diagrams and values of coefficient of correlation between number of diatom and fourteen parameters are presented in paper.Result obtain suggest that area under study is pollution free.
