ABSTRACT

Some chemicals such as surfactants are used for removing oil slicks from surface of water. However, it requires knowing more about biological effects of these chemicals on marine environment. In this study, oil aggregators MBZ 121 and 122 are tested for marine acute toxicity on rainbow trout. The study detected LC-50, 96 hours and measured M.A.C. value. LC-50 and M.A.C. value of MBZ 121,122 were determined 111.41 (78-145), 117.53 (82-153) ppm and 11.14, 11.75 ppm, respectively. The results show that Iranian products to aggregate and remove oil spillage (MBZ 121,122) are not partially toxic on Rainbow trout.
