In the present globalization era, climatic change (CC) plays a crucial role in regards to human health and environmental aspects from the pollution control point of view. It is a mandatory criterion to monitor Ambient Air Quality (AAQ) in every industry. In the present work, Respirable Dust Sampler Technique (RDST) is used for AAQ in the ISPAT Industries Ltd, Geetapuram, Dolvi, Pen, Raigad, Mahrashtra (India).
The data collected for ISPAT Industries Ltd., is from the Integrated Steel Mill Complex, comprising of Sponge Iron Plant, Blast Furnace Plant, Sinter Plant, Oxygen Plant, Lime Calcination Plant and Hot Strip Mill Plant at different locations in the periphery of the Industry. The concentration of Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) and Respirable Particulate Matter (RPM), Non- Respirable Particulate Matter (NRPM) and concentration of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) and concentration of Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) are measured. The trend of measurement shows fall in the particulate matter both during rainy season and summer season. This variation in AAQ cautions to take strict major during winter season because of the high concentration. The novel tool of RDST used in this work supports to monitor and control the AAQ criteria is used in this work.
