STUDIES ON HEAT TRANSFER AUGMENTATION IN A CIRCULAR TUBE FITTED WITH STRAIGHT HALF TWIST LEFT-RIGHT INSERTS IN LAMINAR FLOW

ABSTRACT

 

Experimental investigation of heat transfer characteristics of circular tube fitted with straight half left-right inserts in laminar flow has been reported. The heat transfer rate increases with decreasing spacer distance with the maximum in spacer distance of 2 inches.
