ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

ABSTRACT

 

The sample survey of 80 boys aged (10 to 17) were interviewed in June 2005 at house of detention and Juvenile Jail. for juvenile delinquency. The impact of environmental factors on juvenile delinquency was studied on the conjugal relations of the parents, educational religious training and observance of rituals, area of socialization and crowding in home. The study reveals that socio cultural environment and intra family factors influences anti-social activities of the delinquent juveniles. The primary environment for fundamental training is responsible for delinquent behaviour.
