ABSTRACT

 

Physico-chemical analysis of lotic water of river Yamuna at Kalpi, India was carried out for a period of 12 months from October 2013 to September 2014 including winter, summer and rainy seasons. Four sampling stations were selected and established for sampling purpose. Collected samples were evaluated for selected physico-chemical parameters such as pH, Conductivity, D.O., B.O.D. and C.O.D. It can be concluded that most of the parameters are found above the permissible limit. The study reveals that river water at Kalpi is unfit for drinking but can be utilized for fish culture and irrigation.
