DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF HYBRID MATERIALS IN COAGULATION AND FLOCCULATION OF WASTEWATER

ABSTRACT

 

Now a day treatment of wastewater which comes from different sources including industries creates major problems as it includes dye, metals and other harmful materials which cause environment problem as well as harmful effect on human health. Coagulation/flocculation is one of the major treatment process used by the industries for solid-liquid separation. Different coagulating and flocculating materials are used for separation. Hybrid materials are the materials which are composed of two compounds in one polymeric structure. Due to its unique nature and superior properties it as gain increases attention over inorganic coagulant and organic flocculant. The paper include various preparation method as well as application of hybrid materials under different condition like concentration, optimum dosage, pH, settling time for the coagulation/flocculation process for treatment of wastewater.
